Parbold FC have just returned to pre-season training, and we hope to have our first friendly against Kingston in the last week of July (final date yet to be confirmed).
Most of the lads still care about the club, its just with the world cup most of them are pissed out of their minds for at least 6 days of the week (except Thursday night for training of course)
Training was good last week although the two MacKenzie's both cried off with piss poor excuses. Paul Maca failed too show for half of Parbold's games last year and now he is missing training. There is a big mighty axe swinging above his head waiting to fall any minute now.
Oh last weeks training went as follows,
Hero: Jeff McFarlane, an all round excellent display.
Donkey: Michael Pearce, couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Statto,
Kingston have confirmed August 13th as only date available as their season starts the following week, I have accepted unless our own season does not start on that week. Is that ok with you and fellow cherries?

Do you have any info on this Kingston team are they any good, who are there star players ect?

Canadian Fan,
Kingston are the team I used to play for giving a good 6 years service. They are a young energetic team who have played in cup finals at Anfield, Liverpool on two occasions winning one and losing the other.
I was finally tapped up by Parbold by Ian "Mad Dog" McKenzie and lured away to pastures new. Kingston will give us a difficult test, strong in midfield and attack but naive in defence. I am looking forward to playing against former team mates.

yes I played in the winning team in 2000 and played as invitee this year only to be on the losing side.
