As my late friend Escobar will attribute, it was a fantastic finish but I now wait in fearful anticipation for the sweet release of death via a South American bullet thru my cranium!!!

I don't like to play the 'blame game' (lets play hungry hungry hippo's) but the following are indeed 'mitigating circumstances' for the goal:

5. The lack of collecting money by Pearce.

6. Young Healey's Malia excursion.

7. Lee Commander's Spanish excursion.

8. Jay Mac.

9. Poor team selection.

10. Norris's broken arm (yeah right!)

11. Bristow's pushing forward - what's the point???

12. Thomas Good.

13. Andrew Coy.

14. David Mulllllllllllllville.

Need I go on gents. As you can see, there are 14 valid and cosha reasons minimum why the goal was not my fault and at least I can head the ball on target unlike certain other 'attack minded' players.

What a load of bollok@s, your goal was one of the goals of the season, (well pre season) you should be proud of the fact that you found time and space in the box to head the ball off the post into the back of the net. the two pric@s we have up front should take a leaf out of you book and watch and learn how to finish. It don't matter that it was an own goal the finish is the main thing. The start of the season is beckoning and the strikers are firing blanks, maybe a Gus and mcfarlane (Jeff) up front combination is whats needed. Power to the people!!!!
