A run of the mill Cherry victory.
1. Jay McFarlane (7). Never really had much to do, but did produce a good save at 0-0.
2. Mark McNally (7). Had to be stretchered off the field near the end with a serious ankle injury. Done ok through the game. (Withdrawn)
3. Danny Murray (8). Played on both sides and at centre half, and looked comfortable wherever he was positioned.
4. Lee Commander (6). A little careless at times, not at his best.
(Withdrawn)
5. Lee Tirrell (7). To be fair a quieter game from the skipper, but then again didn't see much of the action. (Withdrawn)
6. Johhny Sheppherd (9). Won every loose ball in the middle, and really improved his distribution.
7. Michael Pearce (8). Scored a goal and finished the game at centre half. Played his usual game, keeping everything nice and simple.
8. Adam Ashcroft (7). Quiet but still shown glimpses of real talent. Let his head drop a little too easily though.
9. Jason Heeley (7). Gave 100% as always, but not at his sharpest infront of goal. He did score with a fierce shot and created a couple more though.
10. Wayne Law (10). Man of the match. Maximum marks after bagging 5 goals. Leigh just simply had no answer to him.
11. David Heeley (8). Got a deserved headed goal at the death, after a industrious display.
12. Jeff McFarlane (8). The monster added to the goalscoring with a volley that took a wicked deflection.
14. Alex Heffron (6). Unfortunatley the youngster was at fault for Leigh's 2nd goal, but still only young and improving.
15. Billy Bristow (7). A late replacement for the injured McNally.
