Due to a waterlogged pitch, Parbold v Marus Bridge was postponed. Pools Panel verdict ........ AWAY WIN.
The pools panel super computer also predicted the game would follow this pattern,
2 mins: A hopeful long ball is played forward, but Lee Commander looks flat footed, is turned and comfortably beaten for pace. Parbold 0-1 Marus Bridge.
5 mins: Lee Tirrell dives into a tackle when their is absolutley no need to. Penalty awarded and slotted. Parbold 0-2 Marus Bridge.
10 mins: Pearce clean through on goal, hits target but shot lacks any real power.
15 mins: A good chance for Pearce but it means he must contest a 50-50 with a defender. Pearce shy's away chance gone.
20 mins: Another great chance for Pearce on his left foot. He hits the ball as hard as he can, but fails to test the keeper as the ball stops dead 6 yards out.
55 mins: After a series of squandered chances and inept play all round, Pearce withdrawn. (5/10)
75 mins: Tirrell loses his rag and calls the referee a number of rude things. RED CARD TIRRELL.
Shots on goal, Parbold 24 (1 on target) - Marus Bridge 2.
The following week Pearce is surely axed but due to some freak accident Parbold only have 11 men, Pearce keeps his shirt by default.
