1. JAY MCFARLANE: Another fine display from the big fella who demonstrated his excellent punching technique. 9.
2. STEVEN FLEMING: Had a torrid first half and looked a little shakey, but he pulled himself together and was terrific after the break. 8.
3. CHRIS NORRIS: Threw himself into everything and looked unbeatable for the whole 90 minutes. Earned the "Big Billy" man of the match, but not MOM for Statto. 9.
4. LEE TYRELL: All great sides need strong leadership and Mr Tyrell adds this in abundance. A true lion in the back four today, who won everything. 9.
5. NEIL HARDMAN: Should have done better to prevent Golbourne's only goal, but he earned the official man of the match thanks to another brave display. 8.
6. STEWART FURLONG: Without doubt the darling of the huge travelling Parbold faithful. He earned the very prestigious "Tommy Good MVP" thanks to his wonderful 20 yard bullet. All round game could not be faulted. 9.
7. PETER DUFFY: Peter was neat and tidy in possesion all day and helped Fleming throughout. This veteran played the game and not the occasion. 8.
8. LEE COMMANDER: The bulldog of the visiting midfield as he battled for every scrap. His physical presence ruffled a few Golbourne feathers. 9.
9. JASON HEELEY: Scored an excellent goal and was the instigator of the Furlong strike also. Gave it everything today and shown that there is more to his game than scoring goals. His best ever display for the Cherries. Statto man of the match. 10.
10. MICHAEL PEARCE: Like his partner, he reacted from the first whistle and gave a magnificent performance. Deserved his left foot goal and left the field to a standing ovation. 9.
11. PAUL MACKENZIE: Typical Maca game, boundless energy, tackling everybody in sight and finished off with passing of a supreme quality. Tired a little near the end. 9.
12. JEFF MCFARLANE: Played the last two minutes and nearly set up a fourth goal, but Duffy missed the target. 8.
14. PAUL JONES: an injury time sub for Paul MacKenzie. 8.
15. IAN MACKENZIE: Unused.
16. PETER DODD: Unused.
17. BILLY BRISTOW: Unused.
Manager GEORGE LUPTON: With 64 minutes gone, the game at 1-1 and Parbold defending for their lives, Lupton stood up and shown everyone why he is the brains behind this Parbold side. The crowd were both quiet and worried, they were urging George to make a change too steady the ship. Assistant Bristow put this request too the gaffer and he replied "no, give them time to settle down, this is Golbourne's spell, they will fade soon and we will hit them hard when they do". 65 minutes gone, Furlong steps up and the rest is history. 10.
