Just to update you all on the injury count from Sunday's 'Battle at the Lane'

Neil Hardman (obviously) - carried off by Big J after 60 minutes. J was heard to say upon his return to the sticks "I've had shits that weigh more than that".

Paul Mackenzie - Knee blew up to the size of a prize melon and was on crutches for 48 hours.

Lee Tirrell - Concussion, spent 24 hour in hospital and woke up next to ....

Paul Jones - Asthma attack. Fuck knows how because he only played for 10 minutes.

Ste Cavanagh - Broken toe, out for 3 - 6 weeks. (Faggot).

We've paid the price for our valiant efforts on Sunday and should all be very (and rightly) proud. I heard one player remark that with 9 games to go, 7 wins will see the title at Alder Lane.

Might I suggest that, if (or should it be when) this occurs, a night out to end all nights out is arranged?

Any suggestions on a venue?

My choice would be new local Super-Club 'Isis'.

Hate to rain on the party, but the comment regarding the 7 out of 9 wins should see the title at Alder Lane is not strictly true.

If Golborne and Wiganers win their games in hand on us then we will be left in third spot.
