Went to the hospital yesterday and have been given the all clear to resume my less than glorious Parbold career from the 17th Jan.
So shuffle up the bench Pearce, and save me a space next to you.
Apologies for not attending games but it breaks my heart to watch and not play soccerball.

Stu Excellent news. You'll struggle to get back in ahead of the regular in centre mid Paul Mac of course but.....oh hang on....no he only turns up when his bird lets him or when he can escape his tightly fastened shackles (which isnt very often) so you'll be fine and will be straight back in the team Im sure! Bring it on Paul...bring it on!! Actually let me get in first.....centre half is the easiest position to play on the pitch isnt it (especially playing behind a box to box dog of war like yourself!) so playing there every week is just so much easier for me and obviously doesnt take as much out of me as playing centre mid clearly does to you! Play a week, miss 2 weeks, miss 2 weeks, play a week.......... yawn! There's so many in our squad of a similar ilk with their keepers...er sorry birds I meant.....that I could have addressed this post to any of you but you're the one I decided to pick on you little shit licker! Anyway Stu....the sooner you're back the better!

Alright Skip, i must agree with everything you said. Paul Mac is pathetic but how come Gus wasn't there ? It cant be his missus putting her foot down, cos we all know Gus is far to ugly to have girlfriend/wife. Come on Gus get on here and explain yourself

Well well well, it seems the ghost-town forum is still being haunted by our 'has-been' Skipper.
Oh, don't you worry Tiz, I'll bring it.
Having ressurected Parbold single handedly (you heard me) acting as secretary, treasurer, pitch man, parish council liason officer (what a title!), I would have hoped for a little respect from Parbold players, and as ... ahem ... 'captain', I would have thought you'd show the boys how to do it? It would appear you've been knocking round with Gallas too much, and we all know what ended up happening there.
Just think, if you're Gallas, does that make me Fabregas?
Now I realise that as a gifted footballer, the team suffers massively when I'm not around. But as you know a 10 year career playing alongside weaker, less mobile players, has left my knees in a right state. During years past, I've put my injuries to one side and put everything into playing 90 minutes each week. This selflessness has left me with little option in these twilight years but to put myself and my health first for the first time in my career. Now if that means I'm not there for a few weeks, so be it. I make no apologies. Health comes first.
No if you'll excuse me, the missus only lets me on the computer for 30 minutes each day, I've used my time up and there's a pile of washing with my name on it.
Oh yes, I conducted a little survey yesterday and it's official, centre half is the easiest ride on a football pitch. What does it say about you that you appear to find it difficult?

Well, well, well....the crocked ar*e licker finally emerges from under his birds skirt! Wonders will never cease.
Ressurrected Parbold single-handedly....that is impressive. Have you received your knighthood yet? You fucking martyr you.
I believe the reason we are having this internet based discussion is that you do indeed have full respect from the players and staff of Parbold including myself. As much as I clearly hate to say it, when our better players such as yourself dont turn up, of course it has an impact on the team. Sadly though and I'll be completely honest and this goes for everyone else who dicks us about, that respect does diminish when people dont turn up.
You may have ressurrected Parbold but the way people dont turn up these days means that Parbold are probably in their last season - again continuing to be beat by shite - so in a way all your hard work is now going down the pan. Its a pretty sad way to end it in my eyes.
Its funny though how its always the same people who dont turn up week in week out and its them who are more prone to injuries and also more prone to wedding/christening/party invites on the Saturday night before a game.
As for finding it difficult Paul, where in my post did I say that? The only thing I find difficult now is stomaching the fact that people cant be bothered turning up and the fact they appear to not give a shit about letting down their mates.
As for the captaincy, Im not a politically correct captain (obviously!) in that I'll say the right things, calm situations down etc but Im pretty sure all the lads know that I try and lead by example....Im there every week, I give 100%, I dont give up and if there's tackles to be won or scraps to get involved in then I'll always be there back my mates up regardless.
With or without the captains armband thats me and like you I make no apologies. I also think most of the lads prefer to know that they've got a skipper like that rather than some fucking fancy dan who says the right thing but cant/doesnt actually do fuck all.
Im happy though to give the captaincy up if theres a better candidate or if the management deem it appropriate?
Does that make me gallas? Who gives a fuck. Does that make you Fabregas? If you grow more hair and string a run of games together...who gives a fuck!
Now I dont want this to become like previous internet discussions. I hope we're still friends and I hope Im making these comments in the light jest they are meant. I might have had this discussion on Sunday but......well see above!
You're not joking about the computer or washing are you?

I know Skip, I've not been around much. I can honestly say my knees are getting worse by the game. Seriously, I played 20 minutes the last time I was there, and my knee was like a fucking balloon on Monday. It's still sore now when I jog round our estate.
You know I was talking in jest too mate.
Am trying to make sure that when I turn up, I can play properly and not just coast through 90 minutes, or 60 minutes, however long I play, just to make sure I don't get too badly hurt.
I know all your gripes, and I agree with them too, but one of mine is players saying they're fit when they're not and starting games when they know they'll have to come off.
Anyway mate, no offence taken, and none meant either.
And no, I don't just have 30 minutes each day, if I behave myself, I get an extra 20 minutes every Friday.
I'm at a wedding this Saturday in The Lakes so wont be there on Sunday. I wouldn't have played anyway as I want to be properly fit for the new year.

no worries Paul, no offence taken. Its been a while since me and yow have had one of our internet discussions/arguments/slagging off talks so I couldnt let this season be any different! It does get me down when people dont turn up but I think everyone knows that already and knows my feelings on it. I dont mean to slag those with genuine injuries/reasons just the bullshit ones really. An extra 20 minutes on a friday? She spoils you too much!! Ta for letting us know about this sunday, my only question.....properly fit for the new year!!! Funny fucker!
