What are the best Parbold games that you can remember, heres a few, maybe you can add to it
Aspull 2-3 Parbold Only last season but best performance when Parbold even going 2-0 down carried on stroking the ball around against a team doing well in Prem this year.Parbold passed Aspull off the park and deservedly came back to win with a looping Norris goal.
Golborne 1-3 Parbold This was the title decider and at 1-1 Parbold were on the back foot as Golborne threw everything at them but defended well and Furlong scored the decisive goal as Parbold went on to win game and title.
Anyone add to this or have any personal memories of special games

panthers 2-3 parbold...the game that made the fans believe silverware was a reality and no longer a dream.red hot parbold survived the sub zero temperatures and prevailed due to a pearce brace and a p.mckenzie rasper

Parbold 5 - 4 Portland
losing 2 - 0 and then 3 - 2 only to storm into a 5 - 3 lead almost blew by letting them in but held on. I scored 4, not that im selfish or anything, Stewy got man of the match, not that im bitter....

The Golborne classic is still the runaway best for me.
However honourable mentions for...
The 2-1 win this season with 2 injury time goals (the 2nd a Macca miscue into the corner!)
For sheer emotion the 2-1 defeat by Leigh Red Brick (they will never be Bar Bliss to me - fucking sellouts!) Never have I gone from the depths of dispair to ecstasy in such quick time!
Also, maybe controversial, but again in the championship season, a scrappy - possible underserved - 1-0 away win at Ben Johnson Blues. A midweek Thursday night, late winner, Roman chariot circling the pitch, Pele kept quiet, an impromptu Pear Tree afterwards and the day I truly believed we'd win it.
They were the days...

Boundary 1-4 Parbold
Boundary were from Manchester and unbeaten at home, they also beat Parbold opening day of season 3-0 (but I didn't play so make of it what you will).Anyway Boundary were very good and came at us strongly but we defended well and edged into the game with pearce scoring 2 well taken goals,a cracking solo from flemmo and an even younger David Heeley scoring. We looked unbeatable and the guy I was marking said we were the best team ever to play at their ground, that will do for me.

Lounge Inn - sheriffs badges? Was that the same game were afterwards Statto declared my performance and I quote "the best individual defensive performance in the history of Parbold"? Ah yeah......(sits back and lights a big fat cuban ceegar).
Anyway on to my fave game. Clearly Golborne is way way out in front - not just for the game but the whole day - seriously I couldnt sleep that night!!
My second game though would probably be AFC Ince at home the very first time we played them. They made a boss start to the season, we're top of the league, unbeaten, scoring goals for fun and hadn't conceded - until they met us of course! We started off so fast, tackles flying in everywhere and we won 4 nil. That was the day that started off the rivalry with them that continues to this day! One of our best performances ever!

Mine would be Parbold 4 v 1 AFC Wigan ... because of this paragraph in the famous match reports we all know and loved. What happened next can only be described as bizarre. A couple of innocuous challenges from Furlong and Tirrell: had been harshly handled by the referee, with both players feeling the referee's stance was more than stern. A nudge from behind from Tirrell , which has usually been dealt with a few words and a warning, was settled by a red card. A capacity crowd could not believe what it was seeing, and the boos could have been heard from the Stocks Tavern. Skipper Tirrell, obviously felt he had been harshly treated, was incensed and told the referee exactly what he thought of the decision . There is some confusion, but some sections of the squad are convinced Tirrell was then shown a second red, which may lead to a lengthy ban and large fine . Something both Tirrell and Parbold could do without. Fucking Hell Tiz, I'd have thought playing in a simple position such as centre half, you'd have been able to keep yourself under control? With this said in jest, I'd invite anyone else to bring to our attention any other hiliarious moments from bygone matches. And before you get it in Tiz, yes, I did used to play.

Rimmer - I notice you had to cut & paste the actual match report....no doubt you couldn't recall the events yourself! Why is that I wonder? Maybe your "dodgy knees" we're playing up again so you had to miss the game?? Again!! With regards to the game, I felt it needed livening up! I was so bored due to all the protection being given to me by our energetic midfield that I had nothing to do! Other funny moments....this season and Gus' wonder oggy! Hilarious....more for the "oh fuck" quote from him before the ball had even gone in! Priceless stuff!

Fitting that Gus's last telling contribution in a Parbold shirt was an OG.
Hang up those boots brother, your number has been well and truly called.

It was a hilarious moment indeed.
Turning round to see Tizzer's laughing face and then the realisation of the hilarity of it all is something I will take to the grave with me.
Another hilarious moment....Pearce?
That is all, just Pearce - always hilarious.
Mulville's 5 second cameo performance is up there as was the argument between Mark Lawson and Gaz...priceless!

Anyone remember the time....oh actually it only happened today! Paul Mac....you know...the one who used to play for us....you know...shit knees....likes to lick arses....short lad - bit pear shaped, deceptively slow..... well anyway, he was playing on the right wing....someone played a cross field ball out to him. He rose like a young salmon...well it was actually more like a young haddock but I digress....the only trouble was he rose about 5 minutes too early for it so when the ball reached him, he was on his way down and the ball skimmed off the top of his bonce and out for a throw to the other team! Hilarious.....good to have you back Paul! PS. Cant remember if I said thanks after the game for making the 2nd half so easy for me!
