Lads people are going to start paying there subs before the game starting from next week against amberswood, jay collected £7 this week and paid the ref the rest form his own money and is again out of pocket, would any of you's do the same??? i don't think so, if people cant spare £3 subs then stay at home people will be dropped even if it's the semi final i don't care why should 1 player be out of pocket nearly every week because yous don't pay?, also the same players take the kit for cleaning every week next week someone different should take it, it's pathetic that I've had to text people this message but it had to be done.
Anyway about the game today we need to lift it against amberswood or we'll be ripped apart by them we never got out of 1st gear today ( i include myself in this also), we played some of our best football over the last few weeks but today thought it would be easy cos we beat them the week before, i wanted to finish the season unbeaten which wasn't impossible for us we've done it before. we have to turn up next week ready or a battle and every game after that.

did we not agree to collect subs before the game ages ago?
if so, why isn't it done?
people are in a rush to get off after the game (no excuse really admittedly) but never the less we have loads of spare time before the game to stand round chatting etc and none after it because of people being in a rush or the match being on and yet this is when we are trying to collect subs. Bizarre.

Jeff - a couple of points.....
I agree with confused. We agreed at the AGM last summer to start collecting subs before the game because people paying subs has been a long standing issue. What we said at the AGM has been ignored for whatever reason.
Last year when people weren't paying, it was the players problem. Now we've came up with a solution to the problem and the management (ie. you and jay) are ignoring it then I think the problem is on you and its up to you to fix it.
You make it sound like the lads dont want to pay subs. I think 99% of us have no problem paying but look at last week. Lots of bluenoses wanted or needed to get off straight from the end of the game to catch the Everton match. How were you planning on collecting subs?
Yesterday we all got changed in the cars and were concerned by the result. Subs never even crossed my mind and I never heard anyone ask or remind people about subs.
At the end of the day jeff....things like collecting subs, making sure we have water for each game, cancelling fixtures in advance etc....these are all managment jobs so there's no real point putting rants on like this and sending texts to players.
What do you want us to do? We gave you a suggestion to collecting subs and you've ignored it so there's nothing else we can do. If I was you I certainly wouldnt be making threats about the semi final to people otherwise you might find people who wanting to change things up.
As for the game....yes we were shite but Im not gonna go over the top for our first bad game in 2 months in the same way I didnt think we were suddenly gonna win the league after last week. It was a kick up the arse and it will do us good come the semi final. If we stop gifting teams 3 or 4 goals and take some of our many chances we'll be fine...if not we'll always end up getting beat end of.

How come I got that text I paid Jay after the game?
As for the match, I could say that was the worst we have all played in a longggggg while, even before we started winning games we wasn't playing as bad as yesterday, if we dont step it up next week and the week after theres gunna be nothing to play for this season which i think will just put everyones heads down for the rest of our games.

We fell for the old trick yesterday, having beaten them last week everyone was thinking we will easily do it again but its not like that in football. They caught us out and wanted it more than us but I'm sure when the semi comes we will be in a better frame of mind from the start after this defeat. At times I didn't think we were that bad,we just can't take games for granted. Judging by everyones reaction we all feel bitter about it which is good,I still think we will finish well this season and learn lessons from this.

I know I weren't there on Sunday but lets stay positive, we've had a great run and the fact that we're all feeling down is a reflection of the confidence of the last few weeks.
The defeat maybe the kick up the arse we needed. They think they have the upper hand for the semi now which could go against them but we're good enough to beat them anyway as we are any team in this league.
Big game next week against a team who obviously arn't the old shite Amberswood as they are beating everyone so lets beat them

i have it on good authority that prolific marksmen/midfield general pearce also payed as well as david,therefore that means only 1 sub paid to come up to the total of £7???
who is creaming money off the top?
is it jay to buy the butter for his fingers?
is it skipper to bribe referees not too give penalties against him?
is it george to buy some engine oil for his hair?
is it gus to buy more cake?
is it lee to buy some miracle hair grow?
is it pearce to buy some new shooting boots?
i think we need answers!!

OK lads at the end of the day I'm talking about £3 subs do we really have to go around chasing people before or after the game? everyone knows that playing footy comes at a very small price. I was one who never paid as i was an hour late for work not the best excuse but true. As for threats I'm not arsed if people get there backs up over it at the end of the day would anyone want to be out of pocket after nearly every match? If people want to play footy then they should pay to do so! also I know some lads did pay the text was sent to all players even George and shit knees as the names are in groups in my phone, apologies for those who paid and got the text. its a simple thing to sort out between adults, don't want to piss anyone off but we just need to sort it.

PS also if people don't want me as assistant manager at the club then just say so i never wanted the job in the first place i was asked to do it. I like doing the job and don't think I'm as bad as i thought i would be I take players advice about team selection on board and try to play everyone who's on the line. if someone else wants the job then feel free i don't mind at all.

the reason no subs ever get collected pre game are simple the people doing the collecting are also the ones who put the flags out , put the nets up , check there is water , make sure there is changing room keys and clean kit for the people who are standing around chatting . So to hopefully put an end to this bollocks im going to say here and now EVERYONE PAYS BEFORE THE GAME IF YOUR IN THE STARTING 11, SUBS PAY IF USED no threats you wont get dropped but the team will eventually run out of cash and then thats that !
